What is the NDIS?
The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is a government scheme to deliver eligible people funding to gain access to services and supports they need. This allows participants to have greater independence, access to new skills, jobs, the community, and an improved quality of life.

If you are looking into NDIS, we recommend you visit their website to gain an understanding and contact support for assistance. https://www.ndis.gov.au/
About
Early Childhood Early Intervention (ECEI) under the NDIS?
The ECEI is an approach under the NDIS for children younger than 7 years old with a disability or a developmental delay, and their families, to access funding to gain access to services and supports they need. Children, younger than 6 years old who do not fully meet the definition of developmental delay and have developmental concerns will also be supported.

Flex Allied Health is also able to see children who have an approved NDIS plan with funding for therapeutic supports. We work together with you and your support network to ensure that we are working towards you and your child’s goals.

Applying for NDIS under the ECEI is a long process that requires documentation and evidence to demonstrate your child’s need for government funding. Our therapists have experience in assessing and writing reports to help support children in need to access NDIS funding.

My GP gave me a Chronic Disease Management (CDM), formerly known as Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) Plan. Can I use this at your clinic?Flex Allied Health accepts CDM/EPCs, however a gap charge will incur depending on the therapy provided. We can utilise the 5 sessions per calendar year (1st of January to 31st of December). The 5 sessions provided by Medicare can be used among different Allied Health Practitioners so it is important that you keep track of how many sessions you’ve used with this plan. It is your responsibility to know how many sessions you’ve already used in the year. If Medicare informs us or you that you have used the maximum number of services within the year, then you are responsible for paying this cost out of pocket. If you have any further questions, you may refer to Medicare for more information, or ask your GP.
-
I am unable to come out to the clinic, do you provide mobile services?Though we encourage appointments at the clinic due to cost of travel, resources and environment- we understand that there are circumstances where you are unable to travel. Our therapists are able to travel to you if you are within our catchment area which is approximately a 30-minute travel radius from our clinic. If you’d like to know more, please give us a call to discuss this with our administration team.
